Martin says that Obama’s September 8th speech to schoolchildren, and his initial request that students write ‘the president’ letters, was straight out of Bill Ayers’ socialist revolutionary handbook.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

(CHICAGO)(September 5, 2009) Republican U. S. Senate candidate and insurgent “Internet Powerhouse” Andy Martin told a Chicago news conference that senate candidate Mark Kirk lacked any credibility as a conservative or Republican by failing to condemn Barack Obama’s school indoctrination speech set for September 8th.

“Barack Obama’s efforts to insert himself between parents and students, and his initial request that students write letters stating how they were going to serve their ‘Maximum Leader’ Obama, were a transparent effort to adopt Bill Ayer’s revolutionary social agenda,” Martin charged.

“Mark Kirk remains silent.

“When has Mark Kirk ever criticized Barack Obama’s politics? When has Kirk ever stood up to Obama? Never.

“Kirk occasionally votes against an Obama proposal, but his ‘opposition’ is flaccid. Why would anyone think Kirk will change in the U. S. Senate? Kirk would continue to be Obama’s ‘favorite Republican,’ and probably end up voting for cap and trade in the senate, claiming he thought it would then ‘fail in the House.’[Kirk has already voted for cap and trade in the House, and justified his vote claiming he thought the law would ‘fail in the senate.’]

“Kirk and Obama, perfect together, but wrong for Illinois and wrong for America,” Martin concluded.
